History

The history Nor Rubber gets back to the late 60’s, when in 1.967 a little company called Renovados Cam-Fran was born to retread tyres. For market reasons, and with the aim of covering the mining industry demands, another company called Gomy Manufacturas del Caucho was founded. Both companies were growing as the industrial sector in Spain was getting more and more importance. After some years, in 1.982, a third company called Bandas, S.A. was created to produce conveyor belts.

By the early nineties, the growth of the rubber market urged the fusion of the three companies in one, called Gesrrubber, where more than 450 people in its staff.

The actual firm Nor Rubber is the result of a deep restructuring process after the decline of the mining industry in Spain. With a new perspective oriented to satisfy the industry in global terms, Nor Rubber has spread its know-how all over the world, being able to cope with the most demanding requests of the industry, and being one of the first companies in its range worldwide.

We develop the rubber to the product the most exigent industries demand. Our manufacturing system, under control of our lab staff, guarantees the quality of every product according to our customer’s requirements and the principal standards.

Nor Rubber has a high qualified team, in continuous training, with all technical resources to develop the products and to proof them with every kind of tests: breaking load control, accelerated vulcanization, bounce, abrasion, chemical attack, etc.

Our main Factory and Works is located in the northwest of Spain, very close to the Portuguese frontier, next to a highway, 30 km far from Vigo Port, and 100 km far from Leixoes Port (Porto City).
